Learn HTML and CSS Basics

In our age of technology, being able to understand how to create website is a valuable skill! We will teach all the aspects of website design and expand on this with our Web Development Part 2 course, where we will teach JavaScript to make these websites more interactive!

Interactive Assignments

To supplement student learning, our assignments are truly interactive! For main assignment, we have students write code online, where they will pass premade test cases to move on. (NO IDE REQUIRED, ONLY INTERNET CONNECTION!). We also have students memorize important CSS and HTML knowledge through fun multiplayer games!

Final Project

Have students show off their skills to friends and family! Students will be given the opportunity to use the skills they have acquired throughout the course to create a masterpiece that their peers can see! In years past, we have given especially impressive projects prizes!

FAQ (Frequently asked questions)

When do classes start?

Classes start June 30th and continue to July 11th, weekdays only.

What times do live classes take place?
Is there a grade?

There are no "grades" like in school. There will be assignments, but performance will only be tracked to analyze how well students are doing.

How do students complete assignments?

Students complete assignments on CodeHS. They will be expected to code what the assignment is asking of them, and there will be an automated checker that will check test cases. It is a very interactive website for learning. Assignments will also be on other platforms like Gim kit and google forms.

Is it really free?

Yes! Our course is 100% free, at no point are you even required to give credit card information. The access to the course is the same for everyone. However, we run only on donations, so any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Does it use google classroom- how do students access the course?

No, the web development course uses a software called Systeme.io. This is because it is much better suited for large scale classes and is also better for organization. It is a straightforward platform so there should not be too many difficulties.
